Taskly Community Guidelines

Introduction

At Taskly, our mission is to connect individuals who are ready to work with those who need tasks completed. As our community grows, it’s crucial that everyone follows guidelines reflecting our core values and standards of behavior. We work diligently to enforce these guidelines to maintain our authenticity and transparency, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all.

Community Conduct

Taskly aims to foster a reliable, safe, and successful environment. We’re here to help resolve any issues that may arise. In return, we ask for your cooperation and timely response when engaging with our Taskly Support team. If you suspect a member has violated any Community Guidelines, please report it to us as soon as possible using the ‘Report as Inappropriate’ feature within the task or comments section, or by contacting us directly.

Guideline Updates

These guidelines will evolve as we grow, reflecting what’s best for the Taskly community.

Our Core Values

We love connecting people who need tasks done with those in the community eager to work. As our community expands daily, it’s vital that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience on Taskly. Our Community Guidelines share the values and standards of behavior we expect everyone to follow.

Detailed Guidelines

1. Task Posting Guidelines

  • Legality: Tasks must be legal.
  • Prohibited Items: No prohibited items.
  • Adult Services: No escort or adult services.
  • Clarity: Clear and accurate scope, time, and budget are required.
  • Task-Based Posts: No advertising.
  • Alcohol-Related Tasks: No tasks related to alcohol.
  • Passenger Services: Commercial Passenger Vehicle Services are prohibited in the U.S.

2. Privacy and Information Sharing

To protect your safety, share private contact information only after an offer is accepted through our private message system. Do not share personal contact details or third-party links in public areas, including comments and attachments. This includes business websites, social media profiles, personal emails, phone numbers, addresses, and personal websites.

3. Acceptable Behavior

Our community thrives on mutual respect and understanding. Negative behaviors against other members or our staff will not be tolerated, including:

  • Hatred or Violence: Promoting hatred or violence against specific groups or individuals is prohibited.
  • Racism: Racist content or behavior to incite racism is not permitted.
  • Aggressive Behavior: Swearing, verbal threats, threatening language, and any forms of violence are strictly prohibited.
  • Discrimination: Derogatory comments or vulgarities used in personal attacks are not tolerated.
  • Harassment: Actions or comments causing distress or jeopardizing other members are not allowed. This includes persistent disturbance, torment, intimidation, or communication aimed at influencing others’ offers.
  • Illegal Activities: Any illegal behavior, including theft, vandalism, and unlawful activities like drug use or possession of weapons, is strictly prohibited.
  • Trolling: Inappropriate or off-topic tasks and comments intended to provoke others are not allowed.

4. Unsupported Practices

We aim to create a fair, transparent, and trustworthy environment. Activities that jeopardize this, including fraudulent reviews, artificial profile enhancement, unrelated discussion, member information harvesting, and lead generation, are not supported. Additionally, no alcohol-related tasks are allowed.

5. Platform Integrity

Keeping tasks on the Taskly platform ensures fairness and transparency. Taking tasks off-platform may seem like a way to save on fees, but it undermines the shared cost model and creates an unfair environment. Repeated cancellations can negatively impact your star rating and profile review, potentially leading to account suspension or banning.

6. Pricing, Fees, and Payments

Understanding pricing and payments is key to a safe and rewarding environment:

  • Offer Prices: Offers must represent the total amount for a task, not be hourly, unit, or quote-based. Partial quotes are not permitted.
  • Payment Account: For safety, cash payments are not supported. Taskly securely holds task funds until the task is marked complete.
  • Banking Details: Keep your banking details up to date to ensure seamless payment. Additional verification may be required to comply with KYC regulations.
  • Cancellation Fee: If you cancel a task after being assigned, a Cancellation Fee may be deducted from your next payment.

7. Accountability and Reputation

Taskers are expected to fulfill task requirements and manage other taskers involved. Subcontracting requires customer consent, and subcontractors must have a Taskly account. Taskers must check that task requirements are met even if assisted by others.

8. Account Eligibility

To set up an account and start tasking, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Have legal working rights.
  • Not have duplicate accounts.

9. Account Administration

Your account is your responsibility. It must not be transferred to another person. Duplicate accounts attempting to disguise history will be removed, and related tasks will be canceled.

10. Identity Verification

To foster trust, all members must have a profile photo and legal name. Fake or miscellaneous photos and names are not allowed. Members must update their details to continue using the platform.

By following these guidelines, we can ensure that Taskly remains a safe, reliable, and enjoyable community for all. Thank you for being a part of Taskly and helping us create a positive environment!
